At first glance it’s hard to tell how serious Jason Eppink is about his Kickstarter campaign to fun other kickstarter campaigns is. It’s easy to be cynical about the glut of people asking for money in the name of their artistic pursuit du jour. According to his cleverly disguised website, this “KickBACKstarter” is 100% real- so take that as you’d like.
Either way, I think we all get the point. Kickstarter is both annoying and great at the same time, so let’s use it with a bit more tact and reservation from now on. I’ve funded plenty of zombie-steam-punk-alterna-graphic-novels/webseries/art-installations already. If you’ve got a great idea that needs funding, let me know, otherwise I’ve got my own unprofitable projects to hustle on.
